Heart transplant

formal campaign Abebe stood on the edge of life with one impossible need: 30,000,000 Ethiopian Birr to save his heart. He had once been a devoted primary school teacher, known for his patience and commitment to his students. But a severe heart condition changed everything. As his health declined, doctors confirmed that he needed a heart transplant — a procedure far beyond what his family could afford. In response, his sister Sara launched a fundraising campaign. She shared his story with students, neighbors, friends, and the wider community, and the support grew steadily. Small donations came in one after another, until the full amount was finally raised. A donor heart became available, the surgery was completed, and Abebe was given a second chance at life. His story is a powerful reminder that when people come together with compassion and purpose, hope can become reality.
